Paul Mendelsohn - Chairman
My name is Paul Mendelsohn.  I am married with four children.  By profession I am a solicitor.  I have been a member of the Committee of Management for about ten years and since May 2004 have been Chairman. I had previously been involved in the Children & Youth and Adult Education portfolios.  As a volunteer it is satisfying to give to a community out of which my family and I get so much.

Brian May - Financial Representative
My Name is Brian May and contrary to widely held belief I am not a guitarist with the rock group Queen but I am the Financial Representative of the Shul.  I have held this position since May of 2005.  Prior to that I was the treasurer of the cheder and have assisted with the Children's services before that.  I am married to Emma and have 3 children. We have lived in Bushey since we were married in 1989.  In addition to my Shul duties I am a finance director of a plc and enjoy spending the little spare time I have with my family and cheering on the red and white football team from north London.  My favorite thing about Shul life is seeing the Shul full be it a service or many of the other events held in the shul building.

Mary Chambers - Administrator
I am now in my 29th year as administrator of the synagogue.  During that time I have seen the membership grow from 150 members to 1850 and still rising - we must be doing something right!
I have a son of 29 and a daughter of 26 - both of whom used to accompany me to work when much younger.  When not at work I can be found gardening, sewing or sleeping!

Laurence Bamberg - Warden
Together with my wife Michele and 3 children we have lived in Bushey for 5 years. This is the fourth year that I have been warden after having been warden in St Albans for 15 years. Volunteering is always rewarding especially in such a great community as Bushey is.
I am a self-employed Systems consultant, covering all areas of Systems, business development and Management Consultancy. My outside interests include Jewish education, outdoor pursuits and a passion for classic sports cars.
